I’m Alex Wauters, software engineer who likes making security easier for devs. This blog is a place for me to share takeaways, architectural patterns, and retrospectives from building and scaling software systems over the last 15 years. I lean toward simple, reliable engineering choices over unnecessary complexity.
I work as software engineer at Aikido Security, on AI-driven code security and autofix suggestions. Before that, CTO at Customaite.ai (customs AI SaaS), where I scaled the platform to high-throughput workloads and coached the engineering team. Previously, I was a Staff Software Engineer at Uber, serving as the technical lead for Uber Freight’s marketplace carrier recommendation and booking teams.
